Vegan Chocolate Cake Recipe with Buttercream Frosting and Strawberries

I was inspired to make this vegan chocolate cake from a video done by hilahcooking. It is so moist and delicious. It is my go to cake recipe.

Vegan Chocolate Cake Recipe

1 1/2 cup Flour
1 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup Water
1/4 cup Oil
1/4 cup Almond Milk
1/4 cup Applesauce
1 tbsp Vinegar
2 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions on how to make vegan chocolate cake:

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees and line a 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt together until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together water, oil, almond milk, applesauce, vinegar, and vanilla extract.

Combine wet and dry ingredients together, and stir about 10 rotations. It is okay if the batter still appears lumpy.

Pour chocolate cake batter into a baking dish bake for 35 minutes.

When the vegan chocolate cake is completely cooled ( about 2 hours), frost with buttercream, top with strawberries, and serve. I hope my video on how to make vegan chocolate cake was helpful.
